Abstract: 

Goals play crucial role in the development of any system. In education systems too the goals determine the attitudes and resource allocation program. Furthermore, not only goals incite the personnel and help to improve their work, but also offer a good criteria through which one could evaluate the organizational efficiency. The present study attempts to explore the role goals and goal-setting process play in the INTERDISCIPLINARY sciences. Therefore, first the process of goal-making and the related theories would be explained. Then, different kinds of goals and measuring instruments in goal-evaluating process in universities would be explored. Finally, analyzing the role goals play in the academic processes, some strategies for goal-setting in programming and assessment in universities would be suggested.

Abstract: 

Nature has aesthetics of its own, what can provoke the human mind into better recognizing the concept of beauty via mental perception. As such, human mind can interact with the nonverbal expressions of nature only to better his/her primitive aesthetic knowledge and reach a more novel recognition of aestheticism via the practice of interpretative deduction. This article has been the result of a series of discussions and dialogues between the authors on the nature of aesthetic geotouring and exploring the natural phenomena based on the Dialectical Method of Socrates and modelled after the Platonic dialogues. The outcome of this dialectic study brings to light the fact that touring in nature through providing the due opportunity for mental perception of aesthetic phenomena can provide a clearer definition of ‘beauty’ in its rich variety. Aesthetic search as such will culminate in forming a more illuminated mental concept of beauty in mind, what can influence human rationale for aesthetic judgment and enrich even more the texture of human aesthetic creation. Such aesthetico-interpretative endeavor might lead to a higher potential for creating more original works of literature and art and culminate in a better judgment about such aesthetic creations.

Abstract: 

This study aimed to investigate the effect of developing and administering a strategic plan on perceived educational quality by students in Ahvaz faculty of rehabilitation sciences. In this interventional study, perceived educational quality by students was investigated before and after developing and administering a strategic plan. Based on the number of students in each educational department and using stratified-random sampling method, 146 students in disciplines of speech and language pathology, physical therapy, audiology, and occupational therapy were selected to participate in the study. For data collection, a standardized SERVQUAL questionnaire including five dimensions of educational services quality (tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy) with approved validity and reliability was applied. Data analysis was executed by using SPSS version 18 and applying descriptive (mean and standard deviation) and analytical (Wilcoxon signed-rank test) statistical methods. Before developing and administering the strategic plan, a significant difference was observed between mean scores of perceived and expected tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy by students (p < 0. 001). However, after developing and administering the strategic plan, the expected and perceived levels of students' satisfaction with educational services were almost equal. Furthermore, in developing and administering the strategic plan, by prioritizing and devoting the budget to the dimensions with highest gap, the students estimated the quality of faculty’ s educational services equal to and in line with their expected status.

Abstract: 

Purpose: Surveying the INTERDISCIPLINARY interactions in cybernetics through investigating papers in WOS dates between 1986 and 2015 and visualizing and analysis of the scientific mapping.Methodology: Using scientometrics approach, “Cybernetic*” keyword is searched as title or subject in WOS.Additionally, Pajak software is used to identify related subjects to cybernetics through designing scientific map using science overlay mapping. Also, mapping word co-occurrence of citation network of superior citing categories is done using V.O.S. Viewer.Results: Cybernetics includes of 3 main clusters and 8 subject fields of computer science, management, engineering, electronic engineering, neuroscience, social sciences, physics, biology technology. Computer science is a core field having 7 groups and the strongest with highest impact among other disciplines. Management, computer science and artificial intelligence as well as electronic and electrical engineering are the most citing subjective categories. Two words of “system” and “approach” are the most used words in cybernetic literature.Conclusion: The Cybernetics structure of 8 fields and 49 nodes reflects the fruitfulness of its network and wide area of INTERDISCIPLINARY relationships. That is important for science policymakers to recognize new research trends.

Abstract: 

Cognitive science is an INTERDISCIPLINARY approach that claims to link the humanities such as philosophy with technical sciences such as neuroscience and artificial intelligence, and in this way, has taken a step towards human cognition and social intervention. But it is important for cognitive scientists to realize that such a connection is not easily possible, and to do so they must consider themselves the target of a discussion of the nature of language. A conversation that literature and technique will have with mathematics. Do literature and technique represent two different types of epistemological foundations and therefore represent two opposing logics and two opposing languages, or can one ask about familiarity and reconciliation between them through mathematics? The question of how the dramatic language of literature and the physical language of technique, at their core, requires interaction with the language of mathematics, and through which they can remember their unity. On the other hand, how is number expressed and mathematics can somehow be human language? Even more fundamentally, it is necessary to ask the nature of language whether man can basically have a single language in the world, or whether he always feels a rift in his language and must seek connections between its two sides. Such a decision about language and tone also has many implications for issues such as how the world is experienced. The present article tries to trace the roots of this plan by reviewing the apparent INTERDISCIPLINARY differences in the current knowledge of cognitive sciences and find a way to the world by using the phenomenological research tradition and design the media as a potential way for the humanities to embrace technique.
